First Africa football business summit converge in Kigali

    The football foundation for Africa has announced through their social media handles that the first-ever business summit on African football will be held in Rwanda’s capital city Kigali- East of Africa on September 14-15 2022.

    The purpose of the event is to bring African brains together to chat the way of football growth in the continent.

    According to Brain Wesaala the founder of the foundation the Africa football Business summit will create an open platform where different stakeholders can come together, network, exchange knowledge and develop a partnerships that will stimulate the growth of the football industry in Africa.

    The aim: he said Is to create a platform where Africa can develop an agenda for African football, seek home-grown solutions to the challenges the continent football is facing.

    In July 2018 the football foundation for Africa was established with its headquarters in Kenya.

    Responding to question regards how other countries in the continent can be participant to event, Brian, disclosed that it will be a paid event for sustainability purposes but they are planning to make it as accessible as possible for people from across Africa to attend.

    He said they are seeking partners/sponsors to facilitate discount rates for flight tickets and accommodation in Kigali.

    This is the very first time football/soccer in Africa is enjoying such a gathering to discuss the growth of the game of football in the continent in a business summit.

    “The Football Foundation for Africa is an international social enterprise that seeks to drive investment in grassroots development in Africa, with the ultimate goal of creating job opportunities. We also aim to protect the foundations of African football, namely talent, and passion, through the promotion of better governance of the beautiful game at all levels”.
